Hobbies: Eating, Cracking Jokes, Making People Happy In My Own Little Ways.
It was on a starry, cold night on the 20th day of June, year 1995, when I came to this wonderful world. With my weak heartbeats and shallow breathing, I almost struggled to survive. Having some congenital heart defects, I was considered as a blue baby.
Being the first child of the family, my parents didn’t give up on me. They spent most of their time on saving my life. They were always with me even on my toughest times. They never left me even on my worst nightmares beneath the white hospital walls. They did everything for me to survive. And right then, I knew I was loved.
With their strong determination to save me and their undying faith in God, I survived all those difficulties. I grew as a healthy, chubby, and cute little child. And I was named JAN LEVI – God’s precious gift; a promise.
In my early years of existence, I have been taught to always aim high and follow my dreams. I am always encouraged to do my very best in order to achieve my goals in life and at the same time to enjoy life to the fullest. From then on, I have always been striving and I’m doing all I can to achieve what I want in whatever field I choose to be.
In the school, I have always been the friendly one whom anyone can lean on. I have always been the jolly one who always wants to make the people around me happy. I did well in academics and extracurricular activities in my grade school and high school years and I have always been an honor pupil. I was always a leader and I became part of different clubs and organizations in the school including the Supreme Student Government Organization (SSGO) wherein I was the president for the school year 2010-2011. With my strong will to be excellent and make my family happy and proud, I enjoyed my grade school and high school years and I graduated with flying colors. Beyond doubt, when you are doing things for someone important like your family, and if you want to glorify God in your life, nothing is impossible.
As of now, I am a junior college student taking up Bachelor in Broadcast Communication at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Sta. Mesa, Manila. Looking back at the past years, I’m still astonished at the amount of progress I have achieved since the day I was still struggling for survival – the day I was born. It’s as if everything came together, as if fate told me that this was the path that I was supposed to take and I’d better get to it. I am really grateful to
the Lord for giving me life, and for giving me my family who are willing to give everything for me.
I’m still young; I have a long way to go and a whole lot to learn. But I’m glad that I started on this path. I want to achieve all my dreams in life for I know that it will make my family happy. My dreams are their dreams. Their dreams are my dreams. I’ll do my best in everything that I do in order to be successful. I’ll make my family proud. I am determined to be better and better. And I know that someday, I will be one of the stars in the universe, shining brightly like the sun, giving off shades of light and inspiration to all the people around me, and most of all, glorifying the name of our creator – God Almighty.
